AFI axial fan parts and replacement fans
Axial Fans International (AFI) is an Italian maker of axial fans, with a North American arm in Texas. Its fans run 3 to 40 ft on cooling towers, air cooled condensers, air coolers and dry coolers, from small package towers to large field erected cells. We supply AFI fans and spare parts, including replacement fans for fans already in service.

AFI SML
AFI's smallest smartfans™ line, 3 to 12 ft, for package cooling towers, dry coolers and adiabatic systems. The light aluminum hub keeps rotating mass down, and AFI offers four blade profiles to tune noise against efficiency. Options include stainless leading edge armor for wet towers and a polyurethane coating. AFI offers a 24 month warranty on SML.
AFI STD
6 to 16 ft, for package cooling towers, smaller field erected towers and compact ACC and air cooler skids. AFI lists four blade profiles: 2A, 3A and 4A in aluminum, and 4F in fiberglass. The low inertia aluminum hub uses a conical bushing for fast field assembly, with stainless leading edge armor for wet towers and an optional polyurethane coating. AFI offers a 24 month warranty on STD.
AFI HD
11 to 24 ft, for field erected cooling towers, ACC and air coolers. The hub is aluminum alloy or corrosion protected electro galvanized steel, and AFI says the conical bushing lets crews assemble or rebalance a fan in hours. Four blade profiles tune noise against efficiency, with stainless leading edge armor.
AFI D
AFI's large fans, 24 to 40 ft, for field erected cooling towers, ACC and air coolers. The hub is a hot dip galvanized steel disc with an epoxy coated boss, there are five blade profiles, and AFI rates the D series for -45°C to +80°C. Conical bushing and stainless leading edge armor.
AFI STEALTH
AFI's stealthfans™ line, 6 to 40 ft, for sites where noise matters: urban plants, sensitive sites and plants with residential neighbours. AFI describes it as a patented very low noise design, sold as a drop in retrofit, rated for -45°C to +80°C. AFI publishes no noise figures for it, so any number comes from AFI's selection for your duty.
AFI UNIQUE
AFI's patented retrofit system for cooling towers, ACC and air coolers. AFI says it can cut fan power by up to 35% and raise airflow by up to 15%. AFI's own pages disagree on its size range, so we confirm the fit for your fan.

What sizes do AFI fans come in?
AFI USA lists its fans from 3 ft to 40 ft: SML 3 to 12 ft, STD 6 to 16 ft, HD 11 to 24 ft, D 24 to 40 ft and STEALTH 6 to 40 ft. The UNIQUE retrofit system is sized to the fan it replaces.
What's the difference between AFI's STD and HD series?
Size and duty. STD runs 6 to 16 ft on an aluminum hub, for package towers, smaller field erected towers and compact ACC and air cooler skids. HD runs 11 to 24 ft on an aluminum or electro galvanized steel hub, for field erected towers, ACC and air coolers. Both use a conical bushing.
Does AFI make a low noise fan?
Yes, the STEALTH line, which AFI describes as a patented very low noise design for urban and sensitive sites. AFI doesn't publish noise figures for it, so we'd get AFI's selection for your duty before promising a number.
Can AFI fans replace an existing fan on the same hub and drive?
