Howden D series fan parts
The Howden D series are large fixed pitch axial fans for air cooled condensers and field erected cooling towers, from 26 to 38 ft with 5 to 11 blades. They use integral shaft FRP blades, with a hub ring option for heavy duty service, and Howden rates them at up to 10 dB(A) quieter than standard fans. How Howden builds its fans
Howden builds its cooling fans with fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) blades and polyurethane coated steel hubs. The standard operating range is -20°C to 65°C (-4°F to 149°F), extendable on request, and Howden's oil and gas literature rates its FRP fans for 500°F for 4 hours in a fire case. Howden tests fan performance to ISO 5801 and AMCA standards at its test rig in Hengelo, Netherlands.
