How to read a 4000M nameplate

Hudson fans carry an adjustable pitch code on the nameplate. APT 14M 6 2 7/8" BORE breaks down like this:

• APT: adjustable pitch fan.
• The number: fan diameter in feet.
• M: the blade, here Tuf-Lite IV. H is Tuf-Lite II, K is Tuf-Lite III, KW is Tuf-Lite III wide chord and M is Tuf-Lite IV.
• The next number: blade count.
• The bore: shaft size, where it's given. Large fans are often ordered without it.

Match the bore to a bushing: Q-2 fits 1" to 2.62", R-2 fits 2.68" to 3.62", S-2 fits 3.68" to 4.19" and U-1 fits 4.25" to 5.50". Read those off the nameplate and get in touch. We'll match the parts.
