Hudson Tuf-Lite® III 5000K fan hub parts, 20 to 30 ft
The Hudson 5000K is the hub series for large Tuf-Lite III fans with K blades, used on large air coolers and cooling towers from 20 to 30 ft in diameter with 6 to 12 blades. The blades are teal green. Hubs take an R-2, S-2 or U-1 bushing for shafts from 2.68" to 5.50". Fan-Div supplies replacement hub assemblies, hub parts, seal disc kits and blade clamps for 5000K fans.

How to read a 5000K nameplate
Hudson fans carry an adjustable pitch code on the nameplate. APT 28K 8 breaks down like this:
- APT: adjustable pitch fan.
- The number: fan diameter in feet.
- K: the blade, here Tuf-Lite III. H is Tuf-Lite II, K is Tuf-Lite III, KW is Tuf-Lite III wide chord and M is Tuf-Lite IV.
- The next number: blade count.
- The bore: shaft size, where it's given. Large fans are often ordered without it.
Match the bore to a bushing: Q-2 fits 1" to 2.62", R-2 fits 2.68" to 3.62", S-2 fits 3.68" to 4.19" and U-1 fits 4.25" to 5.50". Read those off the nameplate and get in touch. We'll match the parts.

What colour are 5000K fan blades?
Teal green. Smaller Tuf-Lite III fans have white blades, so a teal green blade on a large fan is a quick way to spot a 5000K.
Which blade clamp suits a corrosive or concrete tower?
The 65013 powder epoxy or 65013C coal tar epoxy ductile iron clamp halves, which Hudson lists for concrete or round towers and corrosive service. The standard clamp is the D5131 die cast aluminum.
What tip clearance does a 5000K fan need?
1" to 1-1/2" between the blade tip and the fan ring.
